The Skyrocket approach is rooted in the belief that regardless of what’s being used in a school, it’s success ultimately depends on the leader’s effectiveness, ability to inspire people to make change, and ability to hold them accountable for that change. Many K-12 leaders believe that if their schools shift to this curriculum or that instructional model, things will get better. The Skyrocket Academy blows this thinking up and puts the onus squarely on the leader. Those who attend The Skyrocket Academy will learn to think and act differently as leaders. They’ll feel comfortable acting as instructional experts, providing feedback to their teams, and prioritizing the most important levers to increase student outcomes and positive school culture.
